Giving plan

This week, I've been checking all my online finance stuff, since I will have intermittent access. While I was doing my bill pay and such, I set up my donation checks. This sounds silly, but I am super excited about finally being able to donate.

I'll be supporting 4 "charities", which are Modest Needs, AVDA, American Cancer Society, and some friends of mine who are doing volunteer work in Kenya (check the links on bottom left). They're not all local like I had originally intended, but I am happy (obviously) with my choices. I chose Modest Needs because I like what they do - giving small grants to people when they need it. I am a cancer survivor and was helped by the ACS scholarship fund, so I will be donating specifically to the Fund in FL. AVDA works with local victims of domestic abuse - something that I am fortunate not to have personal experience with - and they could use all the help they can get. I met my friends online and I promised that I would donate to their efforts.

I have set up monthly payments to each of the charities (1 per week). Foe every month that I have an extra paycheck, I will prob donate to NPR.

What about everyone else?

Thanks D. It's about time. I forgot to mention that I'm only set for 5% of my net, but it's a start.

Yay donating and feeling great! :)

Just a note, since we just finished (finished? really? are you sure?) tax season: try to get a receipt when you donate. If you itemize your taxes, you can deduct charitable donations, but only if you have a receipt (A new rule says you must have a receipt. In years past, as I understand it, receipts weren't required if it was under a certain amount. I suspect that the larger institutions should send you a tax document in the mail at the end of the year if you donate enough to them.)

Hey Clink,

I just found your blog randomly...and it looks cool.

It's great that you have monthly charity payments, donating to charity is something I need to do more often.

What a great thing to plan! I have been looking at financial planning a lot and learning a lot, and no one has suggested a giving plan that I've seen except for you and Steve Peasley of InvestTalk (http://blog.investtalk.com). I plan to give to MPP!

Hello everyone!
I would like to burn a theme at here. There is such a nicey, called HYIP, or High Yield Investment Program. It reminds of financial piramyde, but in rare cases one may happen to meet a company that really pays up to 2% daily not on invested money, but from real profits.

For quite a long time, I earn money with the help of these programs.
I'm with no money problems now, but there are heights that must be conquered . I get now up to 2G a day , and I started with funny 500 bucks.
Right now, I managed to catch a guaranteed variant to make a sharp rise . Turn to my blog to get additional info.

Do you understand where this change is on the printer?

I thinκ that evеrуthing poѕted was very reasonаble.
But, think about this, ωhat if you typed a catchier post title?
I ain't suggesting your information isn't solid.
, but suppose you addeԁ something that grаbbеd ρeoplе's attention? I mean "Giving plan" is a little vanilla. You might glance at Yahoo's
home page and see hοw they create post headlinеs to grab people interested.
Үou might add a relatеd video οr a гelated ρic or two to get
гeadеrs еxcіteԁ about everything've got to say. In my opinion, it could bring your posts a little bit more interesting.

When I originally commented I clicked the "Notify me when new comments are added" checkbox
and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment.

Is there any way you can remove me from that service?
Cheers!
